Camillin Denny Design were commissioned to design a house for a private client in a steeply sloping wooded area in the heart of East Devon. The client’s brief was to maximise the views across the Axe valley, achieve five bedrooms and create an interesting internal space. The site contained an existing house and the design re-uses the concrete structural slab of that property to reduce the need for costly sub-structure works.
